THE 5 * HOTEL IS LISTED AS HISTORICAL MONUMENT
The history of the Château d'Audrieu is closely linked to the history of Normandy and its most famous representative, William the Conqueror.
He became William II of Normandy in 1035 after the death of his father. He transformed Normandy into a powerful duchy, independent of the Kingdom of France.
After his victory in the Battle of Hastings, William became King of England in 1066.
His epic is illustrated by the Bayeux tapestry, a precious embroidery from the 11th century, which is listed on the memory of the World Register of UNESCO The William Conqueror Center in the city of Bayeux.
RESTAURANT & BAR
The chef Olivier Barbarin proposes a continuous renewal of the menu of the Château d'Audrieu restaurant, the "Le Séran" has been named as a tribute to the history of the castle.
The restaurant has three dining rooms on the ground floor and has been completely renovated in the first stage of the work. It was immersed in a warm atmosphere with a strong color: the "Terre d'Égypte" red!
Two of the three rooms are also decorated with gray, while the central space, the "sanctuary of gastronomy" according to Chef Olivier Barbarin, is completely red from the walls to the ceilings and the damascent curtains.
THE BAR LE "1715" AND THE SOMMELIER
