Something about Bernd Brenke:
B.Sc. and M.Sc. in engineering in London.

I was born in Germany but for my studies my father sends me to London.

After my studies I became Project manager in the TV business in England, responsible for the planning and coordination of studio projects which include communication with all departments in the company as well as with the customer. One of the projects was the first fully digital TV Studio of Channel 4 in London.

After the reunification of Germany I visited the east and fell in love with a dry rot infested castle "Schloss Schmuggerow". I bought it and renovated it into a hotel. I had also a spa with sauna and relaxation room.

The conversion into a hotel was done without an architect or interior designer. It was a pleasure for me to come up with my own ideas and also friends inspired me with their. This was my first project where I was the manager and also the Customer and I enjoyed it.

I managed the hotel and restaurant personally. People from all over the world visited me and even our Minister of Finance spends three weeks of his holiday at my castle. I build up a superb team including a very good cook that my guests commented that my castle belongs to the best but the food is the very best. Many TV companies did documentations of Schloss Schmuggerow and its food.

I sold it later because it was too small to be run profitable, but I discovered the great interest of people in castles and mutual dinners in a beautiful environment. This inspired me to my present venture.

I advertise my present venture also with my own stand at international exhibitions.
