ONE OF THE MOST MAJESTIC VENETIAN VILLAS IN THE PROVINCE AND NEAR VERONA
A few kilometres from Verona, in a dominant position on Valpantena a Grezzana stands Villa Arvedi, one of the most majestic Venetian villas in the province and probably in the Veneto region.
HISTORY
Originally built as a palace-fortress of the Dal Verme, in 1437 the property passed to the Allegri family, who almost two centuries later (1656) commissioned the architect Giovanni Battista Bianchi to plan the expansion and renovation of the old mansion.
THE HALL OF THE TITANS
The splendid hall frescoed by Ludovico Dorigny (1654-1742) where "the pictorial fantasy of Dorigny left us one of his most grandiose and representative works" (Viviani 1975), depicting mythological scenes Perseus and the Medusa, the fight between the Centaurs and of the Lapiths, the titans that support the zodiacal signs.
THE SALA DEI CESARI
The bright hall, with a surface of 185 square meters, measures 19.5 m of length and 9.5 m of width, with a height of 5,6 m overlooking one side of the Italian garden and the other on the inner courtyard where there is also the baroque church. The lounge can host up to 200 people for seated dinners and up to 300 for standing receptions. These characteristics make it an ideal place for refined events and conferences nationally and internationally.
THE CONFERENCE ROOM
The room, of about 127 square meters has a length of 17 m a width of 5 m and height of 6.5 m is the most suitable for corporate conferences or press conferences. The seats are about a hundred. Equipped with amplification system, secretary, wardrobe and services.
THE ITALIAN GARDEN
Villa Arvedi is also known for its Italian garden. It was born as an elegant and sober ornament of the Villa characterized by refined double-fan designs unique in its kind in Italy.
