Much more than just a place to stay, Devigarh is a testament to the beauty and charm of old-world Rajputana, showcasing an array of decorative styles and landscaped gardens. The palace was restored to its former glory in 1999 and converted into an all-suite luxury hotel.
The modern, minimalist design of its interior juxtaposes with the ancient and ornate architecture of its exterior.
This unique blend of old and new is encapsulated at its entrance, where two 12-foot blocks of uncut, white marble stand to attention. These stones, in this raw and pure condition, are a comforting promise of the new and unrivalled experiences that lie in store for every guest at Devigarh.
THE HISTORY
Strategically placed atop a hill in the Aravali Range, the Devigarh Palace overlooks the village of Delwara, and was completed in the year 1760 A.D, under the reign of Rajrana Sajja Singh II. North of Udaipur, in the heart of the countryside, the palace fortress overlooks one of the three main passes into the valley. Devigarh palace was originally built using local marble, a practice that was again followed during it’s restoration, with semi-precious stones being used to adorn all the suites in RAAS Devigarh.

These trips include a visit to a local potter to watch his work and a small personal tour of any of the other many sites that the village is home to. Apart from the many Hindu and Jain temples, below are highlighted other places of importance in Delwara:
