HISTORY
Where once the Maharanas of Mewar held court, you can hold today Maharana Fateh Singh, one of the largest Maharanas of Mewar, ruled from 1884 to 1930.
This palace, built during its reign as an exclusive venue for royal functions, has been carefully preserved for the discerning guests.
The Durbar Hall Sabhagaar, which is one of the main features of the hotel, is of historical importance, as Lord Minto, the Viceroy of India, laid down in 1909. The hall was originally called Minto Hall in its honor.
On the eastern bank of the picturesque Pichola Lake, the palace seems to have floated directly from a fairy tale. The historic interiors, dotted with miniature paintings, portraits, royal artefacts and the Mewar dynasty, transport you to legendary times.
