Castle Hotel Klink
Dream Castle “Schloss Klink” lies on the shores of the Müritz lake amidst a 35.000 m² park, only 200 m from a white, sandy beach and yachting harbour with boat hire. The historic mansion combines the romance of times past with the comfort of a present day deluxe hotel.

History of the Castle
To stay at a castle means to be a guest at a historic house. Here are some key dates in the history of Schloss Klink: The Manor House was built in 1898 by the Berlin architect Grisebach in the style of a French Loire château for the owners Arthur and Hedwig (née Borsig) von Schnitzler. In 1912 a banqueting hall was added to the castle. Schloss Klink remained in ownership of the Schnitzler Family until the end of the second world war. After 1945 it was used to accommodate fugitives from the East.

In March 1996, Ernst Walloschke and his son, Master Chef Guido Gabriel, were granted the contract for transforming Schloss Klink into a hotel. At the time, the Walloschke family had already restored another mansion house in Groß Plasten (nr. Waren) and converted it into a hotel. On 30th September, 1997 the first phase of the building work started: restoration and reconstruction of Schloss Klink. When Ernst Walloschke died at the age of 68 in December 1997, his widow, Marga, decided that she and her two children, Guido and Claudia, would continue with the project in accordance with her late husband’s plans. Since July 1998, the newly refurbished Schloss Klink shines again in all its splendour.
