A trip to Heiligendamm is an unforgettable experience at any time of the year. It’s no accident that Heiligendamm has long been called the white Town by the sea. But it’s more then just that: It’s a world of its own.

Castle Hohenzollern
The History
In 1793 Duke Friedrich Franz 1st of Mecklenburg-Schwerin bathed in the Baltic Sea at „Heiliger Damm“ – or „Holy Dam“ – on the advice of his personal physician, thus heralding the birthplace of the first German seaside health resort.

Since its foundation, Heiligendamm has always been Germany’s most elegant seaside resort. There is where the high nobility of Europe, including the Tsar’s family, spend the summer holidays.
