SINCE 700 YEARS
Amerang in the Chiemgauer Voralpenland owes its name to the Emmer, a kind of wheat of our ancestors.
Amerang Castle was first mentioned in 1072. In the 16th century the exalted lords of Verona, the Scaliger, built a trapezoidal arcade courtyard in the old Gothic castle.
Georg Sigmund was one of the most influential and richest men in Austria. His son, Prince Maximilian von Lamberg, master of Steyr, ended the 30-year war, among other things, as ambassador of Austria.
The family Lambergs got the castle in 1821 by marriage to the present owner family, the Freiherren of Crailsheim. For more than 700 years and for more than 23 generations, Amerang has been a place of outstanding cultural events and celebrations, but also an old family home.

There are many so-called "locations" to celebrate, marry or meet. Amerang Castle is and remains different, 900 years of architecture and the 23rd generation of the Crailsheim family will welcome you.
ROOMS
Alle Zimmer auf Schloss Amerang sind persönlich und individuell von Baronin Crailsheim eingerichtet. Das Frühstück wird entweder im gemütlichen Scaligersaal unter altem Gewölbe oder, wenn es das Wetter zulässt, im Garten für Sie serviert. Alle Zutaten sind rein biologischer Herkunft, der Apfelsaft kommt von den eigenen Bäumen, ebenso wie die meiste Marmelade, Eier von den umliegenden Bauernhöfen. Auf Wunsch kann das Frühstück zu Ihrer Lieblingsuhrzeit serviert werden, wenn Sie einmal richtig lang schlafen möchten.
