DESCRIPTION
Nestled in a rock, as defense of Tidone and Chiarone streams valleys, it is one of the most ancient and suggestive strongholds in Piacenza's area, surrounded by 6 wall rows.

Founded around 1.000 a.C., it is home to some bedrooms, where it is possible to overnight. The mastio (fortified tower) is composed by some connecting spaces, that lead to a small sixteenth-century loggia.
HISTORY
Built around 1.000 a.C., after many owner, the castle wa given by Gian Galeazzo Visconti to Jacopo Dal Verme, the valiant winner of the battle where Alessandria fought against Florence.

The stronghold has an irregular plant, whose only entrance is located in the castle's North side and is accessible through a both steep and suggestive street.

Dining
This stronghold is the ideal setting for feasts and dining parties, with its charming park or in the main salon, that can contain up to 150 people.
