Tower at night
Short history
The history of the Tower of London begins with William the Conqueror (1066-87). When the Normans invaded from France and William I (William the Conqueror) took control he quickly began to build a stronghold to guard London - the Tower of London. The Tower has been used as a castle and a palace.

The Beefeaters
The gala dinner is taking place at the white tower (maximum 90 guests)
The format of the evening will be as follows;
06:30 pm
Guests arrive at the West Gate where they will be met by a Yeoman Warder (Beefeater). The Yeoman Warder will take them on a short external tour of the Tower of London en-route to the Jewel House; this tour will take in Traitors Gate, the Execution Site etc.
06:45 pm
Guests arrive at the Jewel House and are met by the Duty Exhibitor and are invited through to the Treasury for a private viewing of the Crown Jewels
07:00 pm
onwards Guests will begin to exit the Jewel House and will be directed to the White Tower. Coats will be taken on the ground floor and guests may view the exhibition before moving upstairs to the west side of the first floor for reception drinks where the exhibition continues. Please note that there is no disabled access to the White Tower.

Departure of the guests and return to the hotels.

White Tower
The White Tower is the oldest, most iconic part of the Tower of London and can accommodate a maximum of 90 guests for dinner.
