Kew Palace
In 1631 Samuel Fortrey, a successful Flemish merchant, built this smart, brick villa beside the Thames.

The King's Drawing Room

Kew Palace Georgian Kitchen

Nearby Richmond had a long association with royalty since Edward III first developed his palace there. It was George II (1727-60) and his Queen, Caroline of Ansbach, with the first large royal family for many years, who were attracted to Kew Palace in 1729.

Orangery 
Originally designed by Sir William Chambers in 1761, this stunning 18th century building was  filled with citrus trees.

The King and Queen continued to use Richmond Lodge (formerly in the Old Deer Park at the southern end of Kew Gardens) and the heir, Frederick, Prince of Wales rebuilt the larger White House. 

Marianne North Gallery at Kew

Originally opened in 1882 the Marianne North Gallery houses the only permanent solo exhibition by a female artist in Britain. Beautifully restored in 2009/10, the Gallery houses 832 paintings depicting more than 900 species of plants and offers a truly unique event experience.

 

Nash Conservatory

The Nash Conservatory is the oldest of the 19th Century glasshouses at Kew and is of major historical and architectural importance. 

 

Princess of Wales Conservatory

The Princess of Wales Conservatory is the most complex glasshouse at Kew, containing ten computer-controlled climatic zones. Guests can enjoy a drinks and canapé reception while exploring the glasshouse. Encourage your guests to try to find the free-roaming Chinese Water Dragons and famed rare orchids.

 

Sir Joseph Banks building

The Sir Joseph Banks Building in Kew Gardens provides a perfect venue for your wedding or private event.
