HISTORY
Counts Keglevic chose the location and started building the castle in the 17-th century. The castle Bezanec was restorated in 1990 by Siniša Križanec on his own initiative. It was and still is, the first equipped hotel-castle in Croatia, an active micro example of possible valorisation and commercialisation of the rest of the 54 , onetime, aristocratic homes in Hrvatsko Zagorje.

To prepare Croatian indegenious cuisine in the modern way is a task of our enthusiastic and experienced team, who welcome our guest's challenging wishes and demands.
What makes our gastronomy unique is an inter-national approach with the privilege of plenty regional eco-products. Besides the world-famous delicacies from Hrvatsko Zagorje, like štrukli (cheese strudel), gibanica (walnut’s, cheese or poppy pie), turkey with mlinci (pastry), chestnut coupe; we offer you the opportunity to peek into the long closed covers of court-cuisine.
