HOTEL HISTORY
On February 25th, 1927, The Grand Hotel Steiner was opened in a quiet, but prominent neighborhood of the Municipal House in Prague 1. It was built and owned by an experienced hotelier Mr. Josef Steiner. The newest technologies were used to create this extraordinary place, which soon became one of the most famous spots in Prague.

BOCCACCIO HALL
The real pride of our Prague hotel is the beautiful hall Boccaccio in Neo-Baroque architectural style.
In the period of the First Czechoslovak Republic the hall served as a luxury cabaret for the Prague´s cream of society.

For over 80 years the breathtaking beauty of this most charming part of the Grand Hotel Bohemia has been hidden under the surface. When Mr. Steiner opened his hotel in 1927, he also introduced an underground ballroom Boccaccio to the public.
A masterpiece of artificial marble, gold and crystal glass unique in its glittering details, immediately became one of the favorite places for Prague’s high society’s social events.

You can also relax in Salt Cave, Steam or Finnish Sauna or private Whirlpool located in Fitness Kotva.
SALT CAVE
The Salt Cave uses the healing powers of the many minerals found in the salts Dead Sea, the Black Sea and the Himalayas. These salts contain countless amounts of minerals and trace elements such as iodine, bromine, potassium, magnesium, calcium, iron, selenium and many more. These are indispensable substances for the human organism to function correctly.
SAUNA
Steam sauna
The steam sauna, just like the classic dry sauna, applies the benefits of heat and to those are added the effects of steam and various aromatic essences.
Finnish sauna
The Finnish Sauna is a dry heat sauna and belongs to one of the oldest regeneration and relaxation methods. In a small wooden room with the help of hot air the temperature reaches around 90°C while humidity is kept at the lowest. Our body then heats deep inside which triggers an increase in speed in our metabolism and by sweating we wash away toxins through the pores of our skin
PRIVATE WHIRLPOOL
The whirlpool is one of the more pleasant ways of relaxing, hence one of the favorites as well. It has unquestionable beneficial effects on the human body, since it helps reduce stress and release physical tension, thereby improving our mental state. The foundation of these positive effects is the combination of the water buoyancy, optimal temperature and targeted flow.

Our guests can take advantage of the massages offered by the Pro Thai salon, which is situated opposite to our hotel.
