HISTORY
1732 Construction of Château Béla started by Mr. János Terstyánsky, who was a local nobleman. Re-construction of Château Béla into a French baroque architectual style.
1834 Mr. Antal Baldacci from Corsica bought the Château Béla, and invested heavily in the estate by adding a fortification, water moat, drawbridge and the Château´s park landscapes.
1945 The Château was taken over by the government of socialist Czechoslovakia, and turned into a penalty facility for political prisoners.
2000 Countess Ilona von Krockow, the granddaughter of Georg Ullmann, bought the Château from the Slovakian State. With the support of her family, she lovingly restored the family estate in a very authentic and personal way, transforming it into a 5-star hotel, which opened in 2008.

Gourmet Experience and Home of Excellent Wines
Regional produce, international sophistication: In our gourmet Restaurant Baldacci, we serve game from our own land, home-grown vegetables and salads, and for connoisseurs as an excellent complement to our cellar of great classic wines, Château Belá wines grown on the estate and considered Slovakia´s finest vintage.On offer is an exquisite a-la-carte menu, a special seasonal menu offering up to 7 courses, as well as premium selection of beef dishes.
VINOTHECA
Château Belá´s Vinotheca is a rustical restaurant, serving Château Belá wines and typical dishes from the region, which can be enjoyed in front of an open fire in the restaurant, or pending good weather, out-door on the courtyard terrace.
Wines are served by the glass, while guests can choose to compose their own menu from the seasonal offering, or choose from classic and popular international dishes, including steaks.
SPA & WELLNESS- RELAX YOUR BODY AND SOUL
Our "luxuriurs" spa centre provides pure bliss for body and soul: Sauna, steam bath and outdoor pool provide ample room for individual regeneration. Or simply get rid of your stress by working out in the gym with state-of-the-art fitness equipment or just with a private massage.Cosmetic treatments and hairdressing appointments are available upon request. The use of the sauna, steambath and fitness area is included in the accommodation fee. In addition, the Château´s estate provides ample opportunities for a game of tennis, fishing in its fishponds, archery, horseback riding, jogging & hiking in its parks, crocket and swimming in the out-door pool.
