Esterházy Palace in Eisenstadt is one of the most beautiful baroque palaces in Austria. The Haydnhall is the showpiece jewel of Esterházy Palace and was constructed under Paul I Prince Esterházy as part of the baroque phase of the building (1663-1672) after plans by the Italian architect Carlo Martino Carlone. The same family with Princ Esterházy “one of the greatest Hungarian nobility” still resided in the palace.
